Luxury Yoga Retreat in Morocco
Our yoga retreat in Morocco is a real cultural experience. We’ll show you the winding alleys of the outdoor souk markets, beautiful palaces and traditional riads, we’ll plan a camel ride and dinner in the desert, and a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. And we’ll also spend lazy afternoons relaxing at our high-end spa and large outdoor pool, soaking up the sunshine – it’s already sunny and warm in March. We’ll stay in spacious Junior Suites at a gorgeous 5* hotel, located in a quiet area of Marrakesh, just a few minutes from the busting old town.
Tania Brown will teach two yoga classes a day – an active Vinyasa flow class in the morning and an evening restorative Yin yoga class at sunset. We welcome all yoga levels, we have people joining us from all over the world, and many solo travelers – so come along even on your own. Two of us from Yoga Escapes will be there with the group, so no need to worry that you’re venturing into unfamiliar territory, we’ll show you around and take care of everything!

Tania leads inspirational yoga classes using the breath to open the body and improve postural alignment. She also includes elements of yogic philosophy into her classes and offers up ways to integrate yoga principles into daily life. She teaches a Vinyasa flow class and a restorative Yin yoga class daily on the retreat, while at the same time incorporating her learnings from various other styles. She has studied with top yoga teachers worldwide, and currently teaches in several high-end studios in London. She was asked by Lululemon to be their yoga ambassador in London, a challenge she happily took on!
Our accommodation is at the 5* Es Saadi Palace – a luxury hotel located in a high-end neighborhood of Marrakesh, just a few minutes from the old town. The hotel is a mix of a modern contemporary style and traditional Moroccan architecture, with all the amenities you can expect from a luxury hotel. We’ll be staying in large Junior Suites with terraces and views out to the garden and pool area. The hotel has one of the largest swimming pools in Marrakesh, a hydrotherapy indoor pool, and a fantastic spa with a Moroccan hammam. There are several restaurants as well offering typical Moroccan cuisine, French options, as well as an organic restaurant.
Tasty tagines, spices, vegetable casseroles, slow-cooked fish and meat dishes – healthy and delicious! We’ll have a buffet breakfast after yoga with all sorts of options – eggs and omelets, pancakes, toasts, fruit juices, veggies, cheeses, yoghurts, and a gluten-free section. We’ll plan group dinners at typical Moroccan and French restaurants, and you can eat and drink what you like, we don’t have any restrictions. We often have a glass of wine with dinner, and we encourage you to try out the local Moroccan dishes – it’s all part of the cultural experience!
Activities and Excursions
There is plenty to do in Morocco in between yoga classes, and we’ll plan day trips and excursion for the group for those who would like to join. Wander the street of the old town Medina, explore the winding narrow alleyways of the outdoor markets – the famous souks of Marrakesh, ride on a camel across the red sand dunes of the desert, take a day trip to the majestic Atlas Mountains. And there will also be plenty of time to relax at the spa and at our large pool – completely up to you!
