Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Yoga on the River
Yoga + Adventure on the Colorado River with Melanie Webb
Join us for a 4-day 3-night rafting trip adventure on the Colorado River through Ruby and Westwater Canyon. You’ll be accompanied by Melanie Webb, owner of Sol Fitness Adventures. The trip will be outfitted with Oar rafts and we’ll bring along several stand-up paddle boards to share. You can trade time between the paddle boards, inflatable kayaks or relax in the oar rafts. Once ashore there will be time for yoga, side canyon hiking, stretching and relaxing! Your guides will take care of meal preparation and setting up the kitchen and common area. You will enjoy the beauty and grandeur of this section of the Colorado River. It offers memorable sights such as pristine beaches, charming side canyons, and beautiful campsites.
Ruby and Westwater Canyon is the perfect rafting trip for this type of adventure. You get the beauty and thrills of a traditional Colorado River rafting vacation with exciting Class IV and the addition of a calm and gentle rafting experience in Ruby Canyon for paddle boarding and kayaking. Ruby and Westwater Canyons are the ultimate location for four-days of paddling, kayaking and rafting fun.

A lifelong athlete and adventurer, Melanie Webb has worked in the fitness and outdoor industries for nearly 20 years, sharing her passion for health and the outdoors with others at every opportunity. Melanie joined Holiday to guide a SUP fitness trip in 2015 and is thrilled to be invited back on the river in 2018! Melanie received her B.S. from Brigham Young University and studied Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Eating Behavior at The George Washington University. Eager to stay connected to her outdoor roots, she guided her first customized fitness retreat back to her Utah home in 2006 while working as a personal trainer at The Sports Club / LA in Washington, D.C. (now Equinox). Bored by the destination spa routine and the frenetic pace of group travel itineraries, her clients wanted highly personalized fitness vacations that sent them back to their busy lives rested and rejuvenated. The trip was a huge success and others quickly followed. The media as well as industry leaders eventually recognized Melanie’s innovative approach, and she began moonlighting on specialized trips with luxury tour operators Gray & Co. and Butterfield & Robinson.
Our guides create river recipes into “to die for” meals. Dutch-oven lasagna, blueberry pancakes, chicken caesar wraps, loaded burritos, fresh salmon or steak, brownies and more. You will be hungry! Oh yeah, and we do the dishes. We can accommodate food allergies or dietary needs with an advance notice.
You will bring your own tent and sleeping bag/pad or you can rent from Holiday River Expeditions. A complete list of required and recommended gear is available on their trip webpage.
