Yoga Nature Retreat on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Picture a week totally immersed in nature. No cars, traffic, noise or distractions. The sound of the sea, the wind in the trees. Eagles and hawks swooping above your head. Whales breaching, moose meandering through the camp. Every morning we will practice yoga outdoors when possible and in a dedicated space if not. Evenings we will stretch, breathe, meditate by an open fire or gaze at the million stars overhead. Native American healing will be available.

Monica Farrell has been teaching yoga for over 15 years on retreats around the world. Her yoga style is meditative and energizing and is suitable for all levels of practice. Her classes combine cleansing breathing techniques, empowering asana and movement, fun stretching, mindfulness and guided meditations and relaxation. Students leave her classes feeling at harmony and ease with themselves. Monica teaches from the students’ needs and she adapts the practices so all students feel safe, included and connected.
You can choose from beautiful chalets, cozy yurts and geodesic domes that are tucked away in a wooded, natural space. Chalets have full kitchen and views of the Atlantic Ocean and can accommodate 6 people. Deluxe yurts smell deliciously like cedar, have wood stoves and Japanese cedar soaking tubs. Geodesic domes have a double bed, a unique hanging chair and allow you to gaze up at the stars while you lie in bed.

The chefs use organic, locally grown food and produce as much as possible using vegetables from their own garden and fruit from the orchards or straight from the wild such as blueberries and chanterelle mushrooms. There is full bar with locally brewed beer and wine. The chefs bake their own bread and pastries, make super healthy granola and other homemade goodies.
